Pinecrest, Miami, Florida
Las Piedras
Stone defines the language of this Pinecrest garden. Inspired by the quiet materiality of Japanese landscapes, the design explores texture, rhythm, and the beauty of negative space.
Gravel, zebra stone, and a reimagined pool surround establish a grounded composition where restraint takes precedence over ornament. Rather than competing for attention, each material contributes to a landscape that feels calm, intentional, and timeless.
Layers of gardenias, salvias, strelitzias, alocasias, fountain grass, and cocoplums introduce movement, fragrance, and seasonal variation—softening the harder elements while enriching the garden's spatial experience.
A landscape where stone shapes atmosphere, circulation, and stillness.
